Traditional & Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula Support with Nikki

Serving the Triangle & Triad regions of North Carolina
Holistic, evidence-informed, and deeply rooted in ancestral care

A holistic ayurvedic postpartum doula gently performs an abhyanga massage on a new mother lying in bed. The doula applies warm herbal oil in slow, rhythmic strokes to mother's arms, creating a nurturing, serene atmosphere.

New mothers need at least 6 weeks after birthing their baby to rest, nourish, and revitalize their body. It takes this amount of time for our tissues to fully heal, and for our organ systems to begin working as they before pregnancy. Our Holistic Postpartum Care is influenced by Traditional and Ayurvedic postpartum care practices that have served women for thousands of years and across nearly every continent. Our sessions are focused on a new mother’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and are chosen based on preferences and needs.

Avoid struggles with mood, overwhelm, colic, and lactation with these tried and true ancient practices. These rituals will allow the mother to be mothered and to bond with baby. This care is an investment in mother and baby’s current health, and will have lasting effects well past the time of menopause.

Postpartum Care is not a luxury, it is a NECESSITY.

“The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.” ~ Rajneesh

Client Experiences

“Nicole made the world of a difference in my postpartum experience. She has such a warm energy and is supportive in so many ways. She helped our family by preparing warm teas, nourishing meals, herbal baths, giving momma and baby massage, teaching momma how to massage baby, listening to all of my postpartum woes and so much more. I got to do a Closing of the Bones ceremony as well which helped process and close this emotional phase of my life. She is flexible, reliable, thoughtful, and such a delight to have - you’ll never want her to leave!”
